Believe it or not, this was one of the very first pieces composed for the MazeQuest 2 OST project. I wanted to show the game developer an example of some different sound palettes I had at my disposal, and this was also a way to showcase how a single motif can be utterly transformed into a new experience. (Good luck finding the bit from the main theme that I built this on.)

Early on, it was approved as the Church theme. But, as things evolved, we came back to this again later on, and suddenly it wasn't right anymore when compared to the other tracks in the game. I really tried to make it work, but after several variations it was decided that starting fresh was the way to go. Still, even though it didn't work, I like it.
