Map 4, aka Elodea... which was once the Castle music... took some time. The goal was to establish a militaristic theme, full of marching elements, but at a tone that could be applied either positively or negatively. This music might very well inspire your own troupe to move forward, or, it could come across as intimidating because it represents the armies of the enemies moving in closer to you. In the end, generally the track is more positive than negative, but it still took some time to find that sweet spot.

I think that, rhythmically, finding a few moments here and there to switch from the 6/8 motif and deliberately hit a hard 2/4 cadence for a couple measures helped.
