If this one stands out as unusual from the rest of the album, it was intentional. Directed as such, actually. This was written months after the rest of the soundtrack was completed, and the notes given were that it take elements of the soundtrack, and merge them with a funky groove similar to what I established in my "Nine Inch Klax" remix. Not an easy fusion, to be sure.

That said, after a couple drafts I landed on this theme, and I wrote it specifically so that it would have some solid hard-hitting points in the track for editing purposes. That, combined with somewhat looser beginning and ending bits, should work well for trailer music, I told myself. In the end, it worked, and - combined with the chiptune concept piece - helped the album reach a full 50 tracks.
