Dee Ethier Mazedude is one of my favorite VGM remixers, and this 45 minute "EP" (his description, not mine!) of original compositions effectively illustrates why. Weird, layered, complex electronica, mostly in a DnB vein, with jazz influences. Makes good use of live instruments, I LOVE the manic muted trumpet lines. As an aside, I like the title, and think it's apt.

sci mind melting awesomeness and delicious trippy tunes. the first two tracks ALONE make the album well worth grabbing. Favorite track: Backwards Funk.

about

Back in 2008, I was invited to compose some original work for a music library, for placement in film and such. So I fired up my tools and wrote everything you see here. Unfortunately, the reaction was mixed. Apparently I had gone quite overboard, and wrote a bunch of music deemed too intense for standard TV, commercials, and so on.

Their comment, for future compositions, was "can you please write some music that won't scare the children?"
